Earlier, I asked if my current PC/laptop would work well
while playing Overwatch. Everyone said no, so I was wondering if I'd just get a the cheapest PC that'll work well while in game.
I'm planning on purchasing Overwatch on a PC and selling my Ps4 version.
prolly an i5 with 470 r9 or amd w/ 470
You could build a pretty decent one for $450. If you want to buy one you're talking minimum $6-800 for 'acceptable'.
What's your budget?
I heard this one has excellent performance for the cost : https://www.amazon.com/Babys-First-Laptop-Computer-Playset/dp/B000PEEY9E
i built mine 6 years ago for 800$ including monitor/shipping/taxes so you shouldn't have to pay more than that XD
I run the following:
i5 4400
GTX 960
8gb of RAM
It's nothing special, and it won't rock some massive socks but it does admirably.
Overwatch should run fine with way less, but GPU will be the biggest choice, maybe a 750 ti? It really depends on your budget, post that, and we can help a lot more.

For $11 you'd be better off buying a proper calculator.

The computer I bought was about $550, and can run overwatch on high graphics at 60 fps most of the time. I prefer lowest since you can't see bushes and overall easier to see things. It was an Alienware Alpha i3. I know it's alienware but I got it on sale for $380, so it was a good deal for me..

EDIT: link
g4400 is fine for overwatch. I'll get a 750ti 8gb ram and a g4400. Or for further upgrades you can buy a i5 6500. Do not buy i3s.
Do not buy i3s.

Agreed, go for an i5 and a 750ti, it's not going to break the bank, but it will play some damn good overwatch when compared to PS4
Amd anyone? No.. all intel? okay..
Anyhow, you can build one if you do basic research for about half the price as pre built one, and have the parts you want. Its a win, win. You can even build a Pc that has good use in overwatch for about $350. Just go look it up or something.

You shouldn't. PC building is a massive thing and you'll get lots of help. There are tons of things that will play Overwatch but we're looking out for you and trying to make sure you don't overpay for something that won't do what you want.
An i3 can be fine, if it's a more recent one with a high clock speed. Similarly, cards as low as the 750 Ti can also run Overwatch, technically. You just won't be able to push the graphics settings up very high if you want to keep a stable FPS rate. Low and medium settings are going to be restricted more by the processor than the graphics card, while higher graphics settings become much more about the graphics card. A 3.7ghz i3 and a 750Ti will run Overwatch on low settings at 1080 resolution at a stable 60fps. Upgrade either the processor to an 3ghz+ i5 or upgrade the graphics card to something like a 960 and you'll be able to use medium settings at 1080 with a stable 60fps. You'll need to upgrade both the processor and the graphics card to a 3ghz i5 (or better) and a 960 (or better) if you want to use high, epic, or ultra settings, or resolutions over 1080.
Basically, Overwatch can run on super cheap systems, if you're willing to sacrifice visual quality. (And possibly some FPS at the very busiest times.) An i5 around the 3ghz mark and a 960 is kind of the 'sweet spot' between performance and price. While a 750 Ti or an i3 can technically get the game to run, you'll have to accept a big hit to visual quality.
As far as other parts go, go for 4gb of RAM, minimum, but get 8gb if you can afford it; RAM is cheap. Use an SSD instead of a mechanical drive, and don't worry about overclocking or excessive cooling. Overwatch doesn't really benefit much from overclocking, so if this is your priority, you may as well run your rig stock and it'll naturally keep cool enough. Don't forget to get a good power supply, because cheap power supplies can be really disastrous for an otherwise good machine.
Building it yourself certainly will save you a lot of money, but if you really don't know what you're doing, you may find that the less hassle and the warranty you get from buying a machine from somebody else is worth that extra cost. If you've never built a PC yourself before, do consider waiting and saving up the extra couple hundred to buy one from one of the many good custom desktop PC companies that are around. It sucks to pay more, but you usually get a warranty for 3 years or more, and you know it has been built as well as possible.
System requirements lab will let you know if you search Overwatch. It will run a small program on your computer to gather specs. After that you can see what is required and how your computer rates in comparison. Overwatch actually isn't too spec heavy compared to a lot of other games.
I can run 30 FPS reliably with my garbage tier PC:
GEForce GT 640
4 GB RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU (2.33 GHz x2)
It's really bad and I picked it up for 20 bucks, merely upgraded the graphic card, but it does the job!
AMD 750k
8gb Ram
GTX 750Ti
It runs on low smoothly and thats enough for me
I regret asking.

You should probably say what is the maximum you can pay for the PC only.
If you are not going to always be leaving places to take your PC and etc the best you can do is to build a Desktop (informatic shops around you should build it for you for a fee most likely). If you are always leaving and really need a laptop well then laptop it should be. But people need a budget.
I regret asking.

Cheapest way to purchase Overwatch? Ideally standard edition.

Hi! I've managed to get my friends to try out the Overwatch open beta and they love the game now! This is pretty awesome :D Unfortunately, the high price of the origins edition (even after discounts on sites like g2a), is still somewhat pricey. Is there any other way to purchase overwatch at a cheaper price? Ideally, the standard edition as we do not play the other blizzard games.

Thanks for your kind advice!
